BESPOKE CONSERVATION FRAMING

Services – at Frame Designs we offer a fully bespoke picture framing service, whether it’s a favourite poster or a valuable artwork; your frame is individually designed to meet both your requirements, both in terms of appearance and cost.

Services – the methods and materials we use are fully archival. This means any products used in the process are acid free and fully reversible, protecting the artwork from foxing and discolouration.

ARTGLASS

Services – Artglass is the most wonderful, new, invisible picture framing glass (LH in the picture), which has far superior clarity than ordinary picture glass. It is 10 times less reflective than regular glass and has no green tint or optical distortion, as well as possessing a very smooth surface. This glass comes with a 70% UV block, which helps to prevent fading of the artwork underneath. Although It is more expensive than ordinary glass, its properties make the extra very worthwhile and desirable.

MEMORABILIA

Services – our framers have a great deal of experience when it comes to dealing with memorabilia whether it be football shirts, signed photographs, framed records or concert tickets. We offer a free consultation in order to finalise a design that best suits your requirements. Our aim is to create more than just a frame, not only ensuring we protect your most important memories but also making sure that they are displayed in a way that is creative & visually pleasing.

CANVAS STRETCHING

Services – before framing an artwork on canvas it will first need to be stretched. We offer a professional stretching service using bespoke, dovetailed stretcher bars. These come in a variety of depths to suit your canvas. Once stretched, there are a number of finishes available : close framed (ie. with a frame moulding around the canvas), tray framed (also known as floater framed), or just left unframed.

BOX FRAMES

Services – box frames have a fillet which creates a space between the print and the glazing, so there is no contact with the glass. Using float glass, your print is mounted first to a suitable substrate before being set into a box moulding with a fillet spacer. The fillet keeps the glass and print separate, so the whole effect is that of a deep box. Some of our frame mouldings have 45mm deep sides, so we can achieve a deeper box look with this size of frame.

Refund and Return

We are a manufacturer and stock holder of picture frame moulding and picture mount material, all picture frame and picture mount products are made to measure / personalised / ordered to specification.

1. We do not accept a return or refund made to measure or special order products for any reason.

2. If you have received items which are defective in material, workmanship, not to specification, damaged in transit or otherwise you must inform us within two days of signature of goods and allow us good time to collect, inspect and replace the goods.

3. Unused accessories may be returned to us at your expense within 7 days in the original packaging.
If the items are in perfect condition and ready for re-sale, we will refund the cost of the item(s) back onto the payment method immediately.

4. Items returned without prior written consent and agreement from Frame Express Picture LTD will be held for a period of 4 weeks and then disposed of.

5. Items returned by the consumer with consent and agreement from Frame Designs LTD as they are considered not to be of satisfactory standard in opinion but we the manufacturer believe the goods to be of a satisfactory standard we reserve the right to refund only part of the amount paid to cover expenses such as initial manufacture, postage, re-collection
and re-manufacture ( if applicable ).
