We do not carry out framing on the premises, so minimum turn around time is 1-2 weeks, from a Thursday. Complicated jobs may take a little longer.

We offer a fully bespoke picture framing service. That means each project is studied and designed individually with the purpose of displaying and protecting the artwork in the most efficient way.

Hand Finishes. For a more bespoke finish, we use a variety of different types of wood. These include oak, ash, beech, maple, obeche and tulip wood. The advantages of these materials are that they can be stained and waxed, hand painted or sprayed or even left natural to obtain a different look.
Frames. We offer a wide selection of pre finished wooden and aluminium mouldings in a mix of colours, finishes and profiles as well as timber stretcher frames for canvases. We make bespoke frames for all our jobs.
Mount boards. We pride ourselves on full conservation framing and so we only use acid free mount boards that match the standards of conservation framing. These can be used as bevel mounts, with both white and black core, float boards (where the artwork is floated on top of a piece of mount board and secured) or a mix of both with a ‘float mount’. We can also offer 8-ply boards, which are thicker than normal.
Glazing. Choosing the right glazing for your picture can make a big impact on the final result of your job. We are great fans of ArtGlass, which is the most wonderful, new, “invisible” picture framing glass with far superior clarity than ordinary picture glass. It is 10 times less reflective than regular glass and has no green tint or optical distortion, as well as possessing a very smooth surface. ArtGlass comes with a 70% UV filter block, which helps to prevent fading of the artwork underneath. Although it is more expensive than ordinary glass, its properties make the extra very worthwhile and desirable. Conservation Clear 99% UV filter glass is also available to special order.
